Best. Present. Ever! EMMA Arrives!

The day after Christmas, it was time to head to Paris. Everyone should see a big city decorated for the holidays, n'est pas?? We sought to enjoy the City of Lights during the season of lights. The bonus?? We got to pick up BFF Emma who was coming to visit us for a week! We rented a cool apartment with a sports theme near Montmartre--fun for the kids. We've never stayed in that area before but it turned out to be a great locale since we knew we wanted to visit that part of the city anyway--especially to go to our favorite quirky restaurant: Le Refuge des Fondues. We covered a lot of ground--and I'm not sure Emma ever got to recover from her jetlag. She was a trooper! It's a busy time in Paris, so having tickets to see sites before we got to them was the only way to go. We returned to Toulouse so we could show Emma life here. She was leaving from Barcelona, so a few days later we headed off to Spain. We were so lucky to have her with us--she most definitely brightened our holidays!
